THE HYPERBOLIST

Emlyn expanded the perception of Dubai, from pure spectacle to a destination filled with stories worth retelling.

WHEN PEOPLE COME BACK FROM AN INCREDIBLE TRIP, THE STORIES ONLY GET BIGGER. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DESTINATION FEELS ALMOST UNREAL.

Directed by Oscar-winning Tom Hooper, “The Hyperbolist.” A short film about a couple recounting their trip to Dubai over dinner with friends. The husband dramatically exaggerates every moment of the trip, turning ordinary experiences into epic adventures, while his wife gently grounds the story with more realistic versions.

The playful duel between fantasy and reality highlights how Dubai can feel so extraordinary that it almost invites exaggeration.

BY TURNING TRAVEL MEMORIES INTO ENTERTAINMENT, THE CAMPAIGN MADE THE CITY FEEL BOTH CINEMATIC AND HUMAN, APPEALING TO AMERICAN TRAVELERS SEEKING EXPERIENCES, NOT JUST LANDMARKS.
